Arihant is a marketing visionary who swapped boring PPT slides for immersive,
"meme-first" storytelling. With 6+ years of experience, he began by building student
communities and connecting 25+ global brands to the 18–25 demographic before it
was a mainstream strategy. Having mastered the art of "vibes" over traditional
advertising at an international agency, he now leads Rager Studios as Co-founder and
Chief Raging Officer. Today, he sits at the intersection of creativity and tech, using 3D and XR (Mixed
Reality) visuals to create social-first campaigns that feel less like marketing and more like a cultural
movement.

What educational background or
certifications are needed to start a career in
digital marketing?
Your Degree Does Not Matter. There, I said it.
Learning YouTube, podcasting, and keeping up with
trends are all you need to do well in this field.
Irrespective of your background, in marketing,
curiosity is the real degree. The ability to speak to
people and reach their hearts is what matters, and I
don’t think there’s a certificate for that.
Certifications help you enter the room, but your ideas
are what make people give you the mic.
What are the skills required to pursue
this career?
Storytelling, psychology, understanding trends,
vibes and meme-level creativity, that’s the real
starter pack. Confidence + consistency beats
talent every single time, especially when
everyone else is just copying trends.
What kind of training or courses would you
recommend for students or fresher’s
interested in digital marketing?
Start with free stuff first, YouTube, Google
certifications, real campaigns, not just fancy course
certificates that are paid. Check out outskill.
Learn by doing, not by watching 50 reels on “how to
become a marketer in 24 hours”. They’re all scams
and make you pay more eventually.
How important is hands-on experience
(internships, live projects, freelancing)
in building a digital marketing career?
Internships and live projects are like gym reps
‘theory se body nahi banti, execution se banti
hai.’ Get out there as soon as possible.
Freelance small, don't think about whether
you’re getting paid or not. Take your experience
as your payment. Fail fast; learn faster, because
clients teach more than any classroom ever will.
How is digital marketing different from
traditional marketing or other marketing
fields?
Traditional marketing talks at people, while digital
marketing talks with people and tracks every
reaction. One is billboards and vibes, the other is
data, dopamine and instant feedback loops that
feed on your attention.
What are the main career options or
specializations within digital marketing?
Performance marketing, content and copywriting if
you’re good with words, SEO, influencer marketing,
brand strategy, brand servicing, analytics, pick your
poison and go deep. You are a ‘Jack of all trades’, to
start; choose a SPECIALTY when you find what
makes you lose track of time.
How is AI changing digital marketing
roles, especially for beginners?
AI is your intern, not your replacement. It
makes fast people faster and lazy people
invisible. Most students today use AI to
replace their thinking entirely.
Use AI to amplify your thinking, not
replace it; there will be no way to
differentiate you from other copycat
marketers.
Can you really explore deeper with
AI?
There are tools for everything, Claude,
OpenAI, Deep Seek, Kling, Sora and Nano
banana are just the basics. Go deeper into what
you can truly have fun with. Build passion
projects; they will become your proof of work
when you go out looking for jobs later. People
want to hear you, for who you are. If an AI
could do your Job, why would they hire you?
